Buck's Team

Buck’s Team is a biathlon team from Loimaa Finland. The Team was set up in 2001 to support two biathletes - Tapio and Elina Pukki. Now Tapio is the only athlete in the team and his goals are high. Also the whole Pukki Family takes part in the biathlon team. 

Tapio lives in Kirkkonummi Finland. After seven years training and studying in Joensuu it was time for a change. Kirkkonummi is located in southern Finland so the training plan has changed a little bit this year. More training camps in Joensuu and Vuokatti for example. 

The team sponsors consists of many Loimaa area companies and also three equipment companies to provide skies, ammunition and ski waxes. All the equipment and accessories must be top class that the goals can be achieved.

Buck’s Team has been quite successful in Finland. As a proof Tapio and Elina have achieved many Finnish Champion titles in Junior Series and also taken part in Junior World Championships. On season 2007-2008 Tapio was also in the Finnish World Championship Team in Östersund Sweden.

Last years best results were two times silver in Finnish Championships and 30th place in Ibu-cup in Haute Maurienne. Last Summer Tapio won the Finnish Chapion-title in Summer Biathlon cross.

2009: 11th place in Ibu cup Altenberg

2008: 14th place in Ibu cup Langdorf

87th place in WCH sprint Östersund 

14th place in WCH Relay

2007: 9th place in Universiade mass start Torino
